Neel Fofaria, Partner at MP Advisors, is a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai. He was a Post-Doctoral scientist at Astra Zeneca, Waltham, MA and has led numerous strategic and investment advisory projects in BioPharma space at MP Advisors. His responsibilities include generating an idea, identifying growth opportunities and pitching it to the leading pharma and biotech companies worldwide for prospective mergers and alliance. He has extensive scientific and industry knowledge and over 12 years of experience in the BioPharma industry and medical device space. Neel has in-depth knowledge of the Indian as well as global pharma markets in terms of their economic landscape, technological developments, industry-specific parameters and the regulatory specifications.
In the past, he has been involved in formulating global expansion strategy for an Indian Contract Research Organisation as well as led a multidisciplinary team involved in the preclinical development of an oncology molecule. He has authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has 3 patents to his credit. Neel has also received several prestigious awards at various conferences such American Association for Cancer Research and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Before being a part of MP Advisor, he has worked in renowned companies like L.E.K. Consulting as a Management Consultant, Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (USA) as a Scientist, Neofluids, LLC (USA) as a Scientific Consultant and Artham Investments as Pharma Investment Consultant.
